IWU Tennis Signs 2 Tennis Players

Winders Signs with IWU Men’s Tennis
MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University has added Evan Winders to the men’s tennis team beginning in the fall of 2010.
Winders hails from Floyds Knobs, Indiana where he attended Floyd Central High School. Floyd Central is historically one of the top tennis programs in the state of Indiana.
"With Evan's experience and involvement in one of the best high school programs in Indiana, he will be a great addition to our program for years to come," said Indiana Wesleyan head coach Keith Ruberg.
Playing No. 1-doubles, Winders was honored as All-State Honorable Mention, All-District First Team and All-Conference First Team. He was also tagged Most Valuable Player for Floyd Central.
Indiana Wesleyan captured the Mid-Central College Conference regular season and tournament championships during the fall season. IWU opens spring season on March 20 with a home date versus Aquinas (Mich.) College.
IWU Men’s Tennis Signs Wroughton

MARION, Ind. -- Adam Wroughton will continue his men’s tennis career at Indiana Wesleyan University in the fall of 2010.

Wroughton is from Lake Central High School in St. John, Indiana. Lake Central is widely considered one of the top tennis programs in the state.

"Adam is an extremely accomplished player and will have a major impact on our team right away," said Indiana Wesleyan head coach Keith Ruberg.

Wroughton earned All-State First Team, All-Conference First Team and All-District First team following a 20-2 record at No. 1-doubles. He finished fourth in the State Tournament and was also named Academic All-State.

Indiana Wesleyan won the Mid-Central College Conference regular season and tournament championships in the fall and will resume play in the spring on March 20 with a home date against Aquinas (Mich.) College.
