(Notre Dame, IN) Concord High School’s Cameron Doering has signed a letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic careers at Holy Cross College.
Doering is the second player to sign from Concord under Head Coach Dustan Harley. Tyler Ormsby signed with the Saints a year ago. As a midfielder, Doering was a three year starter for the minutemen and was named team captain. He helped them to two straight Elkhart sectional championships. Not only did he excel on the soccer field, but also on the football field as a kicker. During his senior season, Doering was named the special teams MVP at Concord.
“Cameron is coming to us from two very well coached programs,” said Coach Harley. “Coach McCuen from Concord and Chad Riley form the Indiana Invaders have prepared this young man very well for the next level. Cameron will do well in our midfield and is another top-notch local player to add to our 2010 class.”
Cameron is also involved in many community organizations including the Concord Dollar for Scholars program. While attending Holy Cross, Cameron will be working towards a bachelor’s degree in Education.
